Replacement Car Batteries may differ from the original Equipment. Most of the time Replacement Battery will be fitting without any modification. However, it is always good to compare the Replacement Car Battery with the original equipment to ensure size, terminal layout CCA, and Bonnet clearance
Car Battery Installation
- Check New Battery bonnet clearance before Installation
- Find Positive and Negative terminals then dismantle the negative cable first and the positive terminal.
- Examine the Battery tray, cables, and also nut bolt for corrosion. If it is corrosion clean it with baking soda and warm water.
- Place the new battery on a tray along with check it is fit inside the tray and that the battery terminal layout is correct.
- Fit the Car battery in the cradle by tightening the clamps.
- Fix the positive terminal first and then the Negative terminal
- Don’t tighten cables over and also don’t use a hammer it will damage the Car Battery post.

Before start charging Car Battery ensure the below-mentioned.
Provide lots of ventilation for the charging room.
Safety types of equipment including face shields.
Avoid sparks from loose connections.
Be careful about metals that can cause a connection between terminals.
Make sure that the Car Battery charger is turned off.
Checks the electrolyte level if it is high remove it.
Connect the charger cables to the Car Battery terminals. Red wire always indicated +ve Positive connect to the Positive Battery Terminal and other wire to the negative Terminal. Set all the meters that include ampere voltage as per the number of Car Batteries then switch on the Car Battery charger. If sparks or smoke came switch off the charger immediately.
